About this experience
The session suits beginners and novice surfers, though riders at more advanced levels can join as well. First-timers receive a surf orientation and basic riding instructions before entering the water, and a soft-top surfboard and helmet are provided for those new to the sport. Bodyboards are also available, so riders can choose to surf, bodyboard, or bodysurf the wave.
Participants must be able to swim and feel comfortable in turbulent water, meet a minimum height and weight requirement, and arrive in surf or bathing attire that can handle high-flow water. Completing the activity waiver online before arrival speeds up check-in. Arriving early is strongly recommended, especially when traveling from Waikiki or the North Shore, since traffic along that route can be unpredictable.
