The Semi-Private Surf Lesson from North Shore Surf School is designed for friends or couples who want tailored instruction rather than a standard group class. The lesson meets at the location on the North Shore of Oahu, and there is no hotel pickup.
The session covers the fundamentals of surfing and proper ocean knowledge, with the goal of getting each student standing up and riding waves. The instructor is a licensed, experienced waterman with CPR and AED lifeguarding credentials.
Basic swimming ability is required, and the difficulty level is moderate. Pregnant travelers cannot participate. Bring swimwear, a towel, and reef-safe sunscreen. If anyone is dissatisfied at any point during the lesson, payment is not required. A private option is available for those who want a fully exclusive session.
